What’s included in the registration fee?
At the Radisson Blu Larnaka International Marathon we want to look after you and make sure you are fully prepared before you run, as well as appropriately rewarded afterwards! Can I transfer my registration to another person?
Transfer of registration to another person is not possible.
Can I defer my registration to next year?
If you are unable to participate, you may transfer your registration to the following year’s edition of the event. Transfer requests must be submitted via email at info@larnakamarathon.com
Can I get a refund if I won’t be able to participate?
If you are no longer able to complete the full distance you have registered, but still want to take part in the race, you can move your registration to shorter distances. You can also change your participation over a longer distance by paying the price difference.
To arrange, send us an email to info@larnakamarathon.com and let us know of any changes you would like. The deadline for any such applications will be accepted up to 30 days before the race.

What time does the race start?
More details on the race times and the starting point for each race can be found in our races pages. All runners are advised to arrive at least one hour before the starting time to allow time to store personal items, warm up and use the toilet facilities ahead of the race start.
Where is the start/finish line located?
The start/finish line of the Marathon and Half-Marathon Races is located at Foinikoudes, in front of Larnaka Town Hall
The start line of the 10KM Road Race, 5KM Road Race/Corporate Race, 1KM Fun Race & McDonald’s Kids Race 1KM Race is located next to the Europe square, at Foinikoudes.
The finish line of the above races is located at Foinikoudes, in front of the Larnaka Town Hall.
What is the minimum age for participation?
The minimum age for each race is:
- Marathon and Half Marathon: 18 years old on race day
- 10KM Road Race: 15 years old on race day
- 5KM Road Race and 5KM Corporate Race: 12 years old on race day
- McDonald’s Kids Race 1KM: 4 years old on race day
What is the course elevation?

Is the course certified or officially measured?
The Road Races of the Larnaka Marathon are measured by an official IAAF (International Association of Athletic Federations) measurer and are conducted in accordance with the Articles and Provisions of the Regulations ‘’Competition Rules’’ of IAAF and CAAA.
Electronic timing for all races of the event (excluding the race of 1000m.) and publication of the results is undertaken by an official timing company.
CorporateRace
How does a corporate team receive its BIB numbers?
The team captain may collect the BIB numbers of their team from our Registration Center.
Alternatively, and only applicable to companies outside of Larnaka, the team captain can select the BIB numbers to be delivered to an ACS Pick Up Point of their choosing during registration.
When is the last day to finalise all the team members for the corporate race?
The last day to finalise all the team members for the corporate race is 10 days before the event.
For companies that have selected ACS Delivery, the last day to finalise all team members is 20 days before the event.
Are there any starting blocks for the Corporate Race?
Yes, to avoid overcrowding and provide a seamless experience for all, the teams will be
allocated in specific Starting Blocks.
More information about the starting blocks and runners’ entrances will be provided via our newsletter the days leading up to the event.
Race Pack Collection
Where and when do I pick up my race pack?
You can collect your race pack from our Registration Center on the week of the event. You can find the opening dates and time here.(link to Registration Center).
Can someone else pick up my pack for me?
Yes. Please provide them with your confirmation email which they can show at the registration centre to pick up the race pack.
Can I get my race pack delivered?
You may choose the ACS courier service option during registration to have your race pack delivered at your selected pickup point.
How and when can I collect any merchandise I have purchased?
You can receive your T-shirt and all of your merchandise from our Registration Offices. You can find the opening dates and time here.
Travel & Transportation
Where can I park on race day?
A list of available parking spots will be published on our social media and via newsletter the days leading up to the event.
Health & Safety
Are there medical aid stations on the course?
Multiple first aid points and ambulances are placed throughout the course and the finish line based on international standards, ready to take care of any runners in need.
It’s important to fill up all the details behind your BIB number including blood type, allergies and emergency number.
What happens if I feel unwell during the race?
If you start feeling unwell, start by decreasing your pace, stop, and call for medical assistance from our medical staff located through the route or the closest volunteer.
Do I need to provide any medical certificates before the race?
We do not request any medical certificates for participating in the race but strongly suggest taking all necessary measures to ensure that you are in good health before participating with your GP.
Logistics & Timing
What time should I arrive at the venue?
All runners are advised to arrive at least one hour before the starting time to allow time to store personal items, warm up and use the toilet facilities ahead of the race start.
Are there pacers?
Yes, our Pacing Team will be running with you on Race Day for the Marathon and Half Marathon Race, helping you to hit your target times!
Look out for them en route; they will be wearing distinctive pacing flags. You can find more information regarding our Pacers here.
Will my race be timed?
Electronic timing for all races of the event (excluding the 1000m race) and publication of the results is undertaken by an official timing company. For this reason, all runners are required to wear their Bib numbers during the race.
Is there a cutoff time to finish?
Cutoff time to pass the finish line is 13:00. Competitors will only be eligible for a medal and to be featured in the results if they complete the course before the official cut off time.
Runners who may continue their attempts outside of the time limit, on any part of the route, must be aware that they are running on their own responsibility. After 13:00, the police will deliver the race route to vehicle traffic.
What happens if I can’t finish the race within the specified time limits?
The roads around the course must follow a strict re-opening schedule. Runners who may continue their attempts outside of the time limit, on any part of the route, must be aware that they are running on their own responsibility.
Is there a baggage drop off point?
Yes, there will be baggage facilities available near the start line.
More information on the bag drop procedure will be available in your Race Guide, which will be emailed to you and placed on the website several weeks before the event.
Aid Stations & Course Support
How often are Aid stations?
Water Stations are available every 2.5-3 KM offering Water, Electrolytes, Soft Drinks, Fruits and Toilets. You can visit each race page for more information.
Will there be energy gels or snacks provided?
Yes, energy gels and bananas will be available at specific stations along the route. You can visit each race page for more information.
Rules & Etiquette
Can I run with a stroller or pet?
Running with a stroller or a pet is strictly prohibited.
Can I take part using a wheelchair?
Non-racing wheelchair users are welcome to take part in all races. However, we currently do not offer elite wheelchair races or allow self-propelled racing wheelchairs.
Weather Concerns
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
In the event of extreme weather conditions, an official announcement will be made prior to the event with information on how to proceed.
However, in most instances, the event will be conducted as planned.
Emergency Procedures
What should I do in case of a medical emergency?
In case of a medical emergency, you are advised to immediately report it to the medical staff present along the route and/or the nearest volunteer.
Ambulances and medical services will be stationed in various locations throughout the race and start/finish line.
How do I contact event staff if I need non-medical assistance?
There will be an Info Desk near the finish line on the day of the event, where you can be assisted by event staff.
Post-Race Logistics
Where do I collect my medal?
You can collect your medal at the medal stands after the finish line.
Are there any changing areas available?
Results & Recognition
Are there any prizes and awards?
How can I check my results?
Unofficial results will be announced on our channels after the race has ended. Objections may be submitted within five calendar days from the day of posting the informal results.
Official results are announced within 10 working days from the day of the race.
What is the difference between chip time and gun time?
Gun time: Refers to the time it takes to finish a race from when the starting shot is given until crossing the finish line, irrespective of when the runner actually starts running.
Chip/Net time: Refers to the net time which it takes an individual to cover the race route between the start line and the finish line.
What are the unofficial results and how can I make an objection?
The Unofficial Results are immediately available after the race and are subject to change.
You have the right to make an objection within 5 days after the completion of the event. To submit your objection, please send us an email at info@larnakamarathon.com.
